Appetizers Horseradish Bacon Cheese Ball

Horseradish Bacon Cheese Ball

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups grated sharp cheddar (about 8 oz.)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons Silver Spring Prepared Horseradish
  • 1/4 cup chopped bacon
  • Kosher salt, freshly ground pepper

Directions:

In a food processor blend the cream cheese, horseradish and salt and pepper to taste, until blended. Next, using a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap shape cheese mixture into a ball.

Chill cheese ball until firm, about two hours. Take a piece of parchment paper (12" x 12") and sprinkle with the cheddar cheese and bacon. Finally, roll cream cheese mixture into cheddar cheese and bacon.

Place on a platter and serve.

    It's a good recipe to add your own flair to, i.e., chives, minced onion.
