Retirement of Mike Walsh - Eau Claire, WI

Silver Spring Foods, Inc. announces the retirement of Mike Walsh, President, Huntsinger Companies, effective December 31, 2013. Walsh has been a valued leader of Huntsinger Companies since 2009 and has done a tremendous job growing the company during his tenure. He will continue to assist the company with strategic planning and maintenance of key customer relationships, as needed. Walsh will also serve on the Huntsinger Companies Board of Directors.

With Walsh’s departure, Bob Roemer has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer, Huntsinger Companies. He will report to Nancy Bartusch, granddaughter of Ellis Huntsinger, and her sons, Eric and Ryan Rygg, and the Board of Directors. Roemer joined the company in 2012 and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Silver Spring Foods is the world’s largest grower and processor of horseradish. They are unique in providing a farm-to-table experience for the consumer. The company has been family owned and operated for over 80 years and through four generations.
